CuttingThe Cord To Cable

For the Past four years I have struggled with paying the bills, and struggled and struggled and it never ends.  WIth the title of my site you know I love TV, but I love to live also. I like to go out and see movies and maybe see a live show, but I can't because the cable bill swallows my fun budget. Time has come  that me and the family decided to cut the cord and switch to streaming services only and buy DVD's

Cable companies and networks are unfair and they rip people off, I think it is horrible they way you see a station battle it out when a network is dropped from TWC, COX, DISH ATT U-Verse etc as if they care about you , they don't care for your wallet. because they always come back and the cable bill goes higher.

I will still get my entertainment I will just have to wait for a new season on Netflix or HULU or another netstreaming service. I will adjust, it's not the end of the world or the zombie apocalyspe. It will be a adjustment that will sting but when I get out with the family and start enjoying what I have been missing I will survive

My daughter is 20, and when we told her what was going on, she said good we can go back to reading books

  1. Once you get used to watching shows on Hulu or Netflix, you will find it hard to watch regular television. I recently got cable after my cable company offered me a special bundle price with my internet. I found I still don't watch cable. I prefer the convenience of watching what I want, when I want, without commercials (or at least not nearly as many if I'm watching Hulu).

  3. I have over 500 Blue Ray/DVD sets in my collection, and I don't watch them that much because of trying to keep up with too many shows on cable, That is just stupid of me for trying to keep up, I had to cut the cord, and maybe open a book or two. Go out side and walk around. A change had to happen.

  4. I finally cut the cord today, it took me a hour to get them to do it, and I still have to pay 70 bucks a month.
