This episode just hurts to watch, It was a awesome episode and well written, but it hurts to watch because it shows how people ignore the dangers we live with and don't even know it. We always assume because a person is mentally disabled, that they are also emotionally disabled also. This episode exposes that on so many levels from the time the unsub know as Cy (Andy Milder) and his brother Matt (David Starzyk) where kids. His brother ignored him because he was a liar. I know this is just a TV episode, but what it represents is just devastating to what our society has become and what we ignore as being normal or don't want to deal with.

I have to wonder how many people out in the world become homicidal maniacs because they don't get the attention they need till it is to late. Are families that naive to what is going on in their family?
It was also disturbing that this mentally disturbed person would go to such depths to kill his victims. I am use to seeing that in good guy vs bad guy movies, but it hurt to see that in a person that is considered mentally disabled and really is incapable of making decisions. I have read about it and heard it in the news but to see it visually was unreal. Criminal Minds Director Karen Gaviola did a awesome job in showing us what we forget as a society.

Criminal Minds writers, directors and actors always find a way in a 45 minute episode to take it to the next level  on a commercial network. Could you imagine a 2 hour R rated Criminal Mind episode?
Something tells me it would not work, but we learn from all the episodes, if you have the right team, it can get done and done right.
