Call of Duty: Advanced Warefare: For me, This is a great Thrill Ride.
Back in August I wrote a blog post that I had questions about how well the new Call of Duty game Advanced Warfare would be in game play. Again let me say that I am 51, and I am not a teenager, but for me I like the game. It has the same grit if not more in the new game as it did in the old games. I am really impressed with the campaign game play. Kevin Spacey is the voice of the games villain Jonathan Irons and is represented in a very recognizable CGI character. I really like the story line that is put forth in campaign mode. However the on-line game play is very different, in some ways it reminds me of Halo, but the feel for Halo on X-Box is not over whelming. It just seems to me that the online game play experience is more wide open. Now while I do enjoy online game play , I suck at it. If I get 20 kills my deaths are always higher. while I do try to improve, it's a game and not life and death like it is for some players.
So over all I am very impressed, and the new game has delivered and answered my questions from my August 30th post

NBC's The West Wing Episode :In Excelsis Deo,
"In Excelsis Deo" is Latin for Glory to God in the highest. It is song used by Christians sung at church, and it was used most poetically in the 10th episode of the first season of "The West Wing" on December 15th 1999. There was three over lapping stories in this episode, but the one that hit me in the heart was the one about a homeless veteran that was a soldier in the Korean war that was found dead by The National Mall.
The police calls the White House to speak to White House Communications Director Toby Ziegler (Richard Schiff) , We later find Toby at the National Mall by the Memorial looking at a dead man on a park bench. It turns out that the man was wearing a old coat that Toby gave to charity some time ago. The coat had a business card in it with Tobye's name and number.
Toby explains the situation to the police but notices a tattoo on the deceased arm. He tells the policeman that the tat is in reference to the Korean War. Toby takes the information of the Veteran to the White House to do some research on the man. The rest of the story is what hits me in the heart.
Toby is in his office on the phone and on hold when the White House Media Consultant Mandy Hampton (Moira Kelly) steps in. Toby tells her who he is on hold for and she asked did you know him, Toby said no and she asked "Why does it matter?" It mattered to Toby.
Now I know this story is fiction, but I wonder how many similar questions has been asked about discarded veterans that spilled blood for this country? Think about this image, a man that fought for his country in a foreign land left to die on a bench on a cold day in Washington DC at the National Mall. I mean the this is like left over pizza left on the kitchen table to spoil and tossed in the garbage a few days later.
Toby goes back to the National Mall to find more information about the deceased veteran. He gets the name of his brother. later that night he goes to a soup line and ask around about the brother. The brother is slow in the mind, and Toby tells the man that he is going to pick him up the next day for a military funeral with full honors for his brother.
Before Toby Heads out to the service, he meets with the President, Bartlet (Martin Sheen) tells Toby that he can't keep doing this because every homeless veteran out there would come out of the wood works.
Toby replies, "I can only hope sir"
That was a awesome reply, because our men and women in uniform that spill blood for our freedom, are tossed aside like a empty beer can. I know they are not saints, but neither are we and we have never been where they have. We have not experienced what they have.
In the same episode, the Presidents Secretary Dolores Landingham (Kathryn Joosten) tells Charlie Young (Dule Hill) the Presidents Personal Aide about her sons that where killed in a war and that is the reason she is sad around the Holidays.
On Christmas Eve Toby gets ready to go to the funeral and Mrs Landingham tells him she would like to go with him to the service.
So with full honors, a small but heart felt group goes to the national cemetery to say goodby to a veteran that was long forgotten from a grateful nation.
I can not fully express how this episode breaks my heart, but if you watch this , just let yourself get lost and be consumed by the story.

Téa Leoni
I first noticed Téa in the the 1988 movie "Deep Impact",and for me she always plays the character that is being ignored or taking advantage of and underestimated but will always come out on top of the situation. I am watching her and I am thinking, go ahead say your peace put her down, but you know your wrong. Whenever her character gets on top of the situation and beats you , she is very sweet but not misunderstood and authoritive. Who ever her advisary is they know they have been beaten. I often wonder how she would play a villan. You may not agree with what her character is going to do or think she may be to soft, but after her character hands your ass to you, it don't feel so soft.
The best example is in her current role "Madam Secretary" as Secretary of State Elizabeth McCord where in episode one she went up against Chief of Staff Russell Jackson played by Zeljko Ivanek. At the end of the Pilot episode she lets the Chief of State know where he stands. Ivanek always plays a almost heavy hand in all his roles. It was almost scary when she confronted him because of the demeanor in his character.
But That is always the the case for Leoni's demeanor. No matter what the odds are she will win some how some way because she is always smart and knows what you don't know. She has a calm personality but her eyes tells all, I guess. I just like to watched her in movies and TV.
If she was ever to play in a zombie movie, she would find the cure while everyone else is killing them. If she was president, she would already have beaten the enemy while congress and the media was debating how to do it.
And just like in Deep Impact, she had the big story while everyone else was looking for it. That is what I like about whatever character she is. I hope to see Leoni in more movies for years to come, and I hope to see her in SyFy and other generes of movies and TV entertainment.

We Still Don't Know Who Was Behind Daryl Dixon
At the end of the 3rd episode of season five of "The Walking Dead" "Four Walls and a Roof", we find Daryl Dixon popping out of the bushes telling some one to come out. But who is it? We may not know till we see the 7th episode called "Crossed" scheduled for 11/23.
The 4th episode called "Slabtown" showed us where Beth was in the hospital surviving another group with hostile leaders, and at the end we see Carol on a stretcher. That means that she was separated from Daryl. I guess that means it's not Carol or Beth behind Daryl in the bushes. Or does it? Could it be Noah that tried to help Beth escape is now with Daryl? I saw a question on Facebook fan page, could Morgan be Noah's uncle?
Next week we find the group that left on the bus at the end of episode 3 lead by Ford, with Maggie and Glen runs into trouble. So I imagine they will not dwell on Beth or the rest of the group. I am guessing that episode 6 "Heart Drift" that is scheduled to air 11/16 will take us back to the Hospital with Beth and Carol. A big question is was Carol faking it on the stretcher or did she let herself be caught. I do kinda find it hard to believe that Carol made a mistake and got captured. I would not be surprised if she did not plan this and is getting ready to blow the Hospital up like she did Terminus. If that is the case it could be possible that Carol and Beth is in the bushes, but that seems to easy, I am leaning towards Noah.
However, consider this. There is only 5 more episodes left till mid-season. Could they stretch the answer till the the show returns in 2/15? I don't think so, but I still think it's possible. It also seems that we are learning more about whats going on in others parts of the country. For example Noah said he was from Richmond Virginia. I guess we can assume that most of eastern coast is gone for sure. It is still not clear whats going on in other parts of the country in the west, however Ford was certain that Washington D.C. was a safe zone. Richmond, Va is not the far from DC. So if DC is a safe zone, how many miles does that cover?
I really think we will know a lot more after the end of season 5 finale in 2015. But with the knowledge we get this season, rest assured there will always be more questions.
