I Watch Star Wars in This Order

There is much debate how to watch the Star Wars Movies, and like everyone else I have mine.

THE ORIGINAL TRILOGY

At This time the 3rd movie will not be released till 2019


MY REASON

For me I have to watch the heart of the story that beckons the questions of how did Darth Vader become who he is, How did the twins get separated? And where did Han Solo come From? What Sacrifices where made to get the Death Star Plans? Yes I have watched the movies many times. But watching the movies in that order rekindles the magic of the Star Wars franchise. By not watching them in order it provides space to enjoy the time line. You feel like you have lived it with you heroes. To watch the movies in order just rushes the experience.

Many fans are upset with the new movies, but I am not that judgmental with the new movies. We can't dictate how the movies should go. Yes, I understand the fans wanted it to go another way. But our original heroes have got older and can't be the same as we knew them forty years ago. They are not bad movies. They are very well made so get over it and let the saga continue.

MY REVIEW

I am not sure why the fans was so upset with this movie. This was a great installment to the story line. This reminded me of why people fell in love with the Star Wars saga. It was brilliantly written and directed. Ron Howard did a awesome job in bringing Hans story out. Hans story is a story in itself that had little to do with the over all Star Wars plot, but yet he connects with the franchise. He is truly a loner. This movie explains why Han is the way he is. 

I gave this a strong family rating but it may not be right for your family because of intense action and scary looking monsters. I heard rumors that they messed up Lando's character, that is totally not true. This movie deserved better box office ratings then it received.

What if Kylo Kills Rey in Episode IX?

I was talking with friends about my previous post that I wanted Kylo and Rey to hook up and get married, Most of them hated that ideal, but one friend had another plot possibility. What would happen if Kylo killed Rey? I was like no, I don't think so, but the ideal has a sweet spot for me.

Here it is:

"Have Kyle kill Rey, and make a movie where Finn has to lead, even though he’s not a Jedi.
Then have the Resistance search for a Jedi, then they find that kid that used the force to grab that broom in the end of that last movie"

I have a feeling that will not happen because I believe in the next trilogy being developed is not suppose to have anything to do with the Skywalker's depending on what source you read. If that is true Kylo has to die.

I think the trilogy ending has to have a big impact  like Anakin and Obi Wan light saber match and Anakin becoming Darth Vader in Episode III The Return of the Sith And Episode VI Return of the Jedi where Darth Vader dies.Someone will die and it will be sad.

But my imagination is in overdrive with the question if Rey was to die, and lets take it one step more. What if both Rey and Kylo dies? 

Rey and Kylo Ren Should Hook Up!

Ok, I will say it again. I want to see Kylo Ren and Rey to get hooked up and fall in love and live happily ever after. I think that would once and for all bring balance to the force and set it up for the next trilogy. In Episode III Revenge of the Sith, What happens? Anakin is betrayed by Darth Sidious and goes to the Darth Side. Episode VI Darth Sidious is killed by Darth Vader/ Anakin and Vader Dies himself.

I really don't want Rey and Kylo to be related and will be upset if they are. But just think of what it would mean if the Dark and Light side where joined in Marriage. I think it would destroy the Dark and Light side like Kylo talked about to Rey in the last Jedi.

With the death of Luke Skywalker in last Jedi, There will be a void and Snoke was also killed making Kylo the Supreme Leader, but Kylo wants something more. I really don't think he is as dedicated to the Force light or dark side. The force to Kylo is a way to power , not about magic tricks or becoming one with the Force and letting it lead him like it did Darth Vader.

Rey may be all powerful but does not seem interested in the Force as Luke or Master Yoda was. There was something different in her training. It was not as hard for her as it was for Luke to believe in the force. Luke always had to have a influence to use the Force from Ben or Yoda. Rey will use the Force as if it's her air to breath, but does not seem to have to focus as hard as Luke.

Therefore It would be perfect match made in galactic Heaven   

My Inside Look at Star Wars Timeline

One of my favorite coffee table discussions is the Star Wars Saga and time line. These story lines are debated with the same passion as any good TV series or movie franchise no matter if you love or hate them. For me I just want to enjoy the story good or bad and move on. Some fans say they say I will never watch again only to crawl back and see whats going on.

With that being said I want to inject some observances not just from me but from people I have talked to. I have been involved in some tense debates about the last two movies , the Force Awakens and Last Jedi.

In The Force Awakens I had problems with the way they killed off Han Solo. I mean his own Son killed him and threw him off the bridge, and the Han Solo story was over. To me that was a bit too brutal. It was like he was a old piece of garbage from yesteryear , lets dump him. As a fan of the original trilogy I knew they might kill him off, but I wanted a bit more going out in a blaze of glory for Han Solo. He was a big time smuggler that became a hero and he deserved a better send off then that.

Force Awakens takes place 30 years after the Empires Defeat and the death of Darth Vader and Darth Sidious. But 30 years later a new threat called the First Order is doing it again to them which pretty much wipes out all the victories of the resistance 30 years ago because they could not form a military to protect them from a bigger Death Star and what seems like a new powerful Sith called Snoke. And Kylo Ren is no Darth Vader. He seems to lack the discipline that his Grand Father had.

Now we come to the Last Jedi. For months and weeks before the Last Jedi, fans where asking who is Snoke? The mystery around him created a fan theory factory of daily out pouring of suggestions of his origins, But with one swift use of the force Kylo killed him, which makes me question my earlier statement that Kylo Ren is no Darth Vader. Will episode IX explain all this?

I will always be a fan of Star Wars, but I am concerned for the future of the story line. I liked Rogue One and I am looking forward to Solo and other Star Wars inspired stories, but there is a new trilogy in the works as we speak. If I am alive I will be watching in a theater and will buy the Blue Rays, unless they totally screw it up so badly that it hurts to watch

The Rebel Alliance makes a risky move to steal the plans for the Death Star, setting up the epic saga to follow

WHAT I LIKED:

I have made it a practice never to be to cynical or review movies of popular franchises that I am a fan of. But when I went to see Rogue One I was surprised, it was a Star Wars Story, but it was a bit darker at some points I was so involved with the story I forgot I was watching Star Wars. The story line was very strong, And acting was boarder line Oscar worthy, I have never witnessed this in any Star Wars movie. I was more involved in the characters lives instead of the big picture of what was going on in the bigger story. I am not use to that in Star Wars movies. Yes I know we have the whole Anakin Skywalker family history story line, But Rogue One seemed more personal between the love of a father and a daughter.

WHAT I DID NOT LIKE

I will have to wait till after the movie has been out longer and edit this post so that I don't give away any spoilers. Make no mistake I loved the movie and recommend it strongly, but like any movie fan I have a few questions

Movie was given a well deserved PG-13 rating, Depending on your family standards, this could be a family movie

I gave the movie a 10 on the IMDB. I have seen it on the big screen and will be buying the Blue Ray when it comes out.

Harrison Ford as Han Solo over 30 Years Later! This is Going to be Good

I was 15 when I watched Star Wars for the first time, and I knew nothing about Harrison Ford. The character Han Solo is much different then any other character he has played in other films. The closest role I can think of is Indiana Jones, but even that role had the smooth mature character that Harrison often brings to the screen. Now maybe Star Wars is more then what I think it is to me. But I seen Han Solo as Han Solo. I never thought of the man behind the character. But that is Harrison Ford, you forget about who he is when you see him in film. I saw a president that loves his family in Air Force One, I saw a Archaeologist in Indiana Jones that knew history as well as he knew how to find it and defend it. I saw a CIA agent in Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger. I saw a Cowboy not knowing anything about aliens in Cowboys & Aliens.

I don't care how well the movies did at the box office, I have liked every movie I have seen Harrison Ford in. It may not have been my favorite movie, but I enjoyed the production. When Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull came out in 2008, I was like how is this going to work? Because it had been 19 years since Ford had cracked the whip in Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. But in his first scene he answered that question.

Han Solo to me seems so much more dynamic then any other role Harrison Ford has ever played, but I am excited to see how Han is doing now. I know , I know there is this whole story thing and I am excited to see that also. But Han Solo is going to be much older now, however in the world of Star Wars they have great joint replacements and we also have CGI in the movie world. But Harrison always knows the world around him in the movie he is in. I don't see that in some actors or they don't do it as well as Harrison.

Harrison Ford as a person is more aware and confident of his abilities and honest with himself then what I see in any other actors. You don't read about him in the tabloids unless they make it up and lie about him. And while he is serious he has a sense of humor.

There is no way I am saying that he can't handle the role, because if he signs on to do a movie, that means he knows what he is getting into. However he did brake a leg when filming started, but I was not there and I don't know the whole story. My imagination is over whelmed about Han Solo 30 years later.
